Just about few days ago, I (tadaaa!) celebrated my nth birthday! :D
It came to me just now, that prolly one of the reasons of why I so desire to brand myself as the Sulu Gypsy is that, toot years ago..(fasten your seat belt).. I was pushed out from my mother's womb in a hut above the water with planks of wood for a floor and a series of poor sheets in between. Ouch. And that, way before I could react to peek-a-boos, I was departed from my beloved birthplace, Bongao. I was barely a year old then when I innocently took my first travel. And so I gone from a stilt hut crawler to an all grown up city girl! ;)

Sure, Angkor can be done in one day. Though a lot of travel bloggers would most likely warn you against it but with a good list of your personal must-sees, you are set to go.
We arrived Siem Reap late afternoon already after a long transit from Bangkok.
THE PUB STREET
We were supposed to watch an Apsara show that night but since the bed is more inviting, we caught a nap and head to Pub Street instead. This is where most travelers from all walks of life dwell at night. Lined with local bars and restaurants and foreign as well, one would surely have a hard time choosing one where to spend one dear night in Siem Reap. Ignore the invitations and freely walk from one pub to the other as you fit the ambiance that suits you the best. The food, music, people and of course the bill
Walking my way out of Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar, Bali was extraordinary. I was flocked with persistent taxi drivers that instead of saying "Welcome to Bali!", their greeting was "Taxi?" Haha. My system that early morning flight from Jakarta cannot yet absorb the annoyance, so after a long walk to the pick up area of the airport, I cringed myself into a corner to inhale my first dose of breeze of Bali.
I was supposed to wait up for my travel buddies flying in from other parts of the world at the airport but the transit from Sulu Archipelago to Manila to Jakarta then Bali which took me 3 long flights all in 24 hours plus terminal transfers can be agonizing, so I took an ojek from the airport which cost me 30,000 rupiah to my hotel in Puspa Ayu. Expensive I know, but in Bali, everything
A traveler would not get enough of Coron's humble beauty in a day or two, not even a week. But since we already had a little dose of those main tourist spots, we opted to spend our last travel day in an island we barely know of, Culion.
It was hard to convince our boatman to sail us to Culion at first. The June wind was in its maximum strength and that either we choose a nearer spot or hire a bigger boat instead. Negotiations after negotiations, he finally said yes! Waking up everyday in Coron is light. The intensity of good surprises awaits that washing our faces and brushing our teeth are enough for us to start.
Two hours of shaky boat ride. The excitement is sometimes leaving us speechless in between sea bumps and photo shoots.
There are only 4 spots in our goals in Culion
Have you ever thought of life in its simplest form? No malls, no night clubs, no friggin' traffic, no pressures, no bad inhibitions but pure joy and humble days? No mingling much and no pretentious pleasantries?
Have you once thought of life with the nature and nothing but its delight and surprises?
I had.
Main purpose in Coron was water. The shore, corals, scary trenches, shipwrecks, lakes or anything under water and scenery rock formations above it. But Coron surprised us with an immeasurable joy, unpacking one by one its beauty and limitless delights. Totally, Coron is a complete package of nature. One cannot just plunge on Coron waters with eyes closed.
We were faced with tour agencies brochures on the first day upon arrival in Busuanga Airport. Considering at first to avail
